Dance classes with Jean Shockley at the Opera House. Jean will be doing 3 series of classes: Two-Step, Swing, and Swing/Charleston 

 TWO-STEP: If you walk, you can 2-step!  Two-Step is a traveling partner dance (that's where the walking comes in) that can add enjoyment to the music you love to listen to.  In 3 weeks you'll learn the basic steps and rhythm of the dance, how to connect with your partner, and several fun moves that will keep you 2-stepping for years to come.

SWING DANCE:  Dance away those winter blues with Swing dancing! This energetic dance will get you off the couch and on your feet.  In 3 weeks you'll learn the basics of this dance and fun moves that you can adapt to most any kind of popular music.  We look forward to dancing with you! 

THE CHARLESTON:  There's nothing like The Charleston to keep you warm on a cold winter night.  This high energy, fast paced dance was born out of the snappy tunes of the roaring 20's.  In 3 weeks you'll learn the basics and how to switch between Charleston and Swing Dancing.  Come get your flapper on!  
Participants should wear shoes that allow them to shuffle and turn without much resistance and wear comfortable clothes that don't restrict movement or interfere with dancing with partner.  No partner necessary.  

Water fountains with bottle faucets are available upstairs in the Opera House.

3 Class Session are $50.00 for a Resident  $55.00 for a Non Resident
Drop In Class available $20.00 per class Resident $25.00 per class Non Resident
