Beginner Swing Dance Class

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

This class is a great follow up to Beginner Swing or someone who hasn’t danced swing in a while but remembers the basics and needs a refresher.  We'll learn new moves, play with musicality, and continue refining partner connection and personal expression to keep dancing fun and interesting.  No Partner necessary, but you should know 6-count swing basics.  Lessons taught be Jean Elizabeth Shockley. Jean Elizabeth Shockley started social/partner dancing in 1995 in Philadelphia. She has served on the board of the Philadelphia Swing Dance Society and the Connecticut Swing Dance Society and has been a member of the Vermont Swings board since 2013. She serves as an instructor, DJ, and communications coordinator with Vermont Swings, and also teaches Swing, Country Two Step and Waltz. She has worked with bands (Starline Rhythm Boys, Big Hat, No Cattle, and Girl Howdy) at public and private gigs to get the dancing started with pre-show lessons. Jean Elizabeth is known for her unique dance style and sense of rhythm and musicality, enjoying the chance to be a catalyst for dancing wherever music can be found.  *The practice session after the lesson is included in the lesson fee

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
