Come down to the range and learn to shoot with a bow and arrow! Archery is a skill that can be used practically for hunting or fishing or just as some recreation and to test your skills. For this beginner's course, participants will learn to shoot with a recurve bow. They will also learn range safety, range setup, basic equipment setup and use, scoring, and steps of shooting.

COVID19 Regulation Compliance:
- All equipment will be sanitized before and after use.
- Face Masks may be required for both Students and Instructor depending on current guidelines
- Students will be paced 6 feet apart along the firing line, and retrieve arrows in a fashion that keeps students spread out along the range.
- Students may not participate if they are running a fever, coughing or showing other signs of respiratory illness.
- Group will be kept to a size of 12 students plus instructors. Parents/caregivers wishing to stay and watch the class will be asked to do so from a distance.

About the Instructor:
Melinda Hardt has been instructing and designing Archery classes for youth since 2007. She started teaching the basics at an outdoor science school in California. She was trained by an Olympic level Archer, and obtained her level 1 Archery certification. She designed and orchestrated year-round archery classes and a continuing Summer Camp program as well. She went on to obtain a level 2 USA Archery certification and has taught Archery programs all over the country. Melinda Hardt is a certified level 2 USA Archery Trainer Instructor, certified in Wilderness First Aid, and CPR.
