The Vergennes Basin
For decades, the City of Vergennes has hosted thousands of boaters at our municipal docks.  The Vergennes Falls and Otter Creek Basin are located seven miles from the mouth of Otter Creek on Lake Champlain and is navigable by nearly all types of watercraft.

There are docks on both sides of the river with power and water available on a first-come, first-served basis, a nominal donation expected.  There is a 48-hour maximum dockage stay.  The Otter Creek Basin is also a safe anchorage for most boats during the regular boating season.

Boaters can take a walk through Macdonough Park and up the gateway stairs to Main Street where you will find a variety of stores and restaurants in our Historic Downtown. Bulletin boards are located at the docks with phone and email contacts.
