Woman about to score in ultimate frisbee
Vergennes Spring Fling 2021
April 18, 2021

About the Tournament
This is a friendly (unsanctioned) competition of disc golf following Professional Disc Golf Association rules. The first round begins at 9 AM with groups of four or less starting on different tees at once (“shotgun start”). When the first round is finished, and after a short break, a second round of doubles will take place with another shotgun start. After this round is completed, the groups meet again at VUES to award prizes. The day finishes with a “closest to the basket” contest from the parking area to basket #6.

Vermont ACCD guidelines will be followed. Masks and distancing will be required during registration. People will be spread out during the rounds so there are no more than 4 people per card. Masks and distance will also be required during play, except when throwing.

Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM. Meet at 8:30 AM for tee placement and general info behind the VUES located at 43 East St. Players will arrive no earlier than 8 AM and may use the VUES Soccer Field to warm up. The first round will begin at 9 AM. Consumption of alcohol, tobacco use, and drug use on school grounds are strictly PROHIBITED.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Each player may contribute cash to be eligible to participate in the prize fund.

The procedures to be followed include:
– No smoking, alcohol, weapons, or swearing will be permitted on school property or in vehicles in the parking lot.
– If there is activity on the playground or an athletic field, a spotter will go ahead to give warning and to block discs, or a make-up time for that hole will be arranged.
– Disagreements about playing procedures will be resolved by the tournament directors.
– Tournament directors will acknowledge the school officials’ assistance in realizing this tournament.

Due to the guidelines, only 30 players will be accepted.
